We went to see a most delightful production of "The Nutcracker" last night. Pictured above is one of the 'Ninja Mice', a group of seven boys who were terrorizing everybody in sight with their mouse antics. The best of the bunch was, of course, our grandson, Nathan. Most of the cast doubled or tripled as other characters throughout the play so Nathan was also a tin soldier and a snowflake for a brief time, and then his best roll, as a Venus Flytrap potted plant. These Potted Plants were the same guys as the mouse gang, but this time the choreography was more that mousing around. They were dancing with their big pots hanging around their waists. It was hilarious.
The costumes were amazing, the backdrops were very colourful and creative, the snow storm was 'real', and the colours and lighting were eye candy. It was a great evening, especially watching Nathan doing something he really enjoys and is quite good at.
