My photo program is totally screwed up so text only today.
I drove busylizzy to El Paseo Drive this morning. This is Palm Desert's equivalent to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. High end this and high end that. I read a book, she shopped. It is better that way.
Later, we got three full hours of sun by the pool, and in the pool. We went out for dinner tonight to a most beautiful restaurant that we remembered from five years ago. Mimi's Cafe is a pure delight both inside and out. It looks like high a end restaurant, Old English Cottage 'to the nines'. The food? Not so good like I had remembered. We then went to the Cinema 10 for a cheap movie which was one of the better movies I have seen in a long while, "Secretariat". I highly recommend it.
We assessed our holiday, so far, on the way home from the movie. We are approaching the three week point, the time where we are entering new territory, as our longest holiday was our 25th anniversary, and that was three weeks in Maui 15 years ago. Our verdict? We know we have to come home, but we really do not want to. The weather gets one degree warmer each day and we are getting used to things here a bit more each day. When we are out for the day or the evening and come back, we turn into our street, we like our neighbourhood and it feels just like we are coming home.

Oh oh, sounds like you will be moving to the desert. We will miss you. :)
I guess we mean nothing back here in the soggy north.
Who are you?
