Day 27

This is a reflection off the pool. We spent some time here again this afternoon but first, in the morning, Jim and I dropped the girls off on The El Paseo strip. busylizzy had not visited all the high end shops yesterday and Dawna wanted to see all the bling too so they went while Jim and I headed to the hills for a great hike. We did a good portion of the Hop Along Cassidy Trail and even a bit of the Bump and Grind. We gained some good altitude and got a good view of the approaching bad air drifting in from LA.

I love hiking these high desert trails. No trees in the way to block the view and the rocks are actually very interesting. We spotted a number of geckos again and a fairly large lizard. And there are always interesting people on the trail. We talked to a couple from Seattle today.

This is about as high as we got for today. It was a looong ways down.

We got to the rendezvous place on time and took the girls to the 'In N Out' burger joint. From El Paseo to cheap burgers ... how the mighty fall. I must blog about these burgers one day. We have been there three times now.

In the afternoon we sunned and visited around the pool until dinner. We played a game in the evening called "Things in a Box" This will be fun to play with a large group of people. More story telling in the hot tub and now it is time for bed.
