We started out the day with a breakfast 'out'. French toast smothered in strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream got my day off to a great start. I need carbs.
We attended the late (10:30 am) service at the Calvary Chapel Church which is in our neighbourhood. It is so close that we walked there. It is in the basement of the Temple Sinai, a Jewish synagogue.
Our friends did a bit of exploring this afternoon while busylizzy and I had to lie low as she is not feeling too well. She ate something that did not agree with her. We stayed out in the sun and while I read, she fell asleep. There was a slight overcast so I did not have to wake her to turn her over to prevent sunburn.
J and D brought a fresh unbaked Pizza for dinner and we sort of pigged out on that. It was delicious!
It turns out that what we thought was bad air was actually a lot of fine dust in the air from high winds in the desert. Today everything here in the yard as well as the cars is covered in a layer of talcum powder-like dust.
The wind turbines pictured above are earning their money this week. Fortunately, there is no wind here in Palm Desert. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day here today. It is so unusual to see the sun day after day after day after day after day after day ....

Oh you POOR POOR dears. Do your eyes hurt?
Well today we had sunshine too. And it was even brighter than your sunshine as it was reflecting off all the lovely snow and ice we got last night. More on the way - lots of it, so they say.

Looks like we will be using air-conditioning soon. It is going to 75F this week. Get me out of here. NOT!
Bask in the warmth while you can. Your time of dark damp oppression is at hand as the northwest awaits your inevitable return. Mwahahaha....

Hope your feeling better mom.
