With the growing trend toward more wallpaper being used in homes today, one thing has become apparent. The old days of papering the whole house or a whole room are gone. Blocking, using paper on one wall as a feature, is the norm, or, if a whole room is done, it is usually the powder room. So I was surprised when this customer wanted her whole bedroom done. But not only was the whole room done, but the old fashioned 5/3 split and a retro paper was also requested. I felt like I was back in the 80's.
But, she loved it and that is what matters. Decorating should be what you want and what you like. It is a very individual thing, unless you are doing it for re-sale, in which case, the latest trend would be in your favour.
