Happy New Year

What happened? I got blindsided. I lost my concentration for a fleeting moment of time and suddenly I am about to flip the calendar page. But just a minute! Now I need a new calendar also. 2008 is on our heels and gaining. Every year ending in 8 is a year in which the first digit of my age changes and this year is a particularly intimidating change. It will certainly be a decade of transition and adjustment and it is exciting and frightening at the same time. If I ever needed hindsight to give me encouragement for the future, it is now.
