The Daffodils are late, but at least they have at last arrived. Actually they have been there for a while, but they have now bloomed. It seems the cold has left us, at least for now, and we have enjoyed a few days of 20C. It was actually warmer outside than in my house on Monday. Instead of cranking up the furnace, I simply opened the windows. At long last, the heating bills will improve, as well as every one's mood. I noticed that everyone, without exception, gave a friendly "hi" as I passed them on my early morning walk. Even the ducks and geese on the lake were extra boisterous. Oh, I forgot, it's mating season.
Nothing says "Spring" like the bright yellow Daffodil against a drab leftover winter.
