A Day to Celebrate

Canada is such a young country. 'Born' in 1867, founded by peoples from some of the oldest countries in the world, Canada is just now finding her stride. We are the coveted destination of millions of immigrants from around the world, and are becoming a player on the world stage. Our 'unlimited' resources, that we were taught about in school back in the 50's, are still in abundant supply. Our freedoms, though slowly being eroded, make us one of the best countries in the world in which to pursue our goals and dreams. I, for one, tend to be critical at times about our leadership and our national policies, but it is only because I see potential for even greater things than what we now enjoy. But, on a day like this, our country's birthday, I will see only the good, much like we do when we celebrate a family member's birthday. We count the years, and we count the blessings, and we pray for many more, of both.
GOD BLESS CANADA!
