And to add insult to injury, they are being made 80% in ...... you guessed it, China! What a blown opportunity to showcase Canadian textiles and fabrics on the world stage. This is a joke in my opinion. And if this isn't bad enough, I heard just this morning that the Canadian Olympic Committee awarded a contract to the USA for a specialised assignment. You would think that Canada would have snow experts, but some guys from Nevada are being hired to study and optimize snow conditions at Whistler for the 2010 games.
