More California

Mr. Carter built this beauty right across the street from the Ingomar house for his daughter.
Even in winter, California is colourful. I was taken by all the Oak trees and the pale moss that hangs from every limb.
We cruised through LA on deserted freeways. Were they all afraid of me? No. It was New Year's Day in the morning when we were the only people in southern California not home nursing a hangover.
Here we have 8 lanes going one direction and only 4 vehicles! And yet it was here that we missed getting creamed by inches when someone decided to make an extreme lane change to make a missed exit. Doesn't life come at you when you least expect it?

Gorgeous photos!!!
I wish it could be like that on the LA freeways more often. That's the one thing about travelling to California that scares me!!! Those highways are very frightening.
