Election Gem #2

Jack Layton says: "The issues that people deal with at the kitchen table with their families... are the ones that I think Parliament should be debating right now,"

This morning we discussed the choice of cereal and the strength of the coffee. What issues are you discussing at your kitchen table?

Oh we like to talk about not fighting over who is going to read the back of the cereal box.

And we don't actually have a "breakfast table", nope...nothing going on here, which about says it all I suppose!

So, I guess Jack is out of touch with what is really going on at the breakfast table, at least with those of us who have one.
Jack: "Mr. Speaker, if I am elected as Canada's next Prime- minister, I will promise that every Canadian family will have a breakfast table at which they can discuss serious political issues. We will then discuss those issues in Parliament." Here here!
