Day 4

A small orange tree beside the pool.

A medium sized orange tree beside the pool.

A matching pair of cacti beside the pool.

Where there are oranges, there are lemons.

As you walk out of the kitchen of our house, this is the view. Note the Costco oranges in the bowl.

Last night we scouted out the shopping situation in our neighbourhood. We are not big on shopping, but we do need groceries. There is a Costco just down the road and on this morning's walk we discovered an Albertson's quite close for those things we did not want to buy by the 100's at Costco.

We also found some small eateries and a Starbuck's, an easy walk from here. There are small strip malls everywhere and they all have one thing in common. There is about half of their space for lease. Everywhere there are wealthy looking people, and expensive vehicles, but they must be hanging on to their money.

Apparently our pool is not heating. The service guy came by this afternoon and declared we needed a part he could only bring tomorrow, so no hot tub tonight. There is always the big soaker tub inside.
I got all the road dirt off of the car today and it shining with its old familiar sparkle. Nobody, but nobody drives around here with a dirty car. Everything is neat, tidy, and clean. It must be the law!
The owners called today to see if everything was in order and the neighbour, after seeing our car in the driveway, called to welcome us. It is very quiet and private here. We will be ready for a little action when the kids come in a few days.
The skies cleared by noon today, the temperature got to 21C, and there was only a very light breeze. It took us about two minutes to get used to it. More pictures of 'our place' tomorrow.
